AVEENO® Baby® Essential Moisture Shampoo Review and Giveaway

THE REVIEW:

We have a hard time with Sara Rose's hair. She does not want us to cut it (and we don't really want to either) but it is long and fine and curly. Which means that it is CONSTANTLY tangled. CONSTANTLY. And it is impossible to brush out. So our plan of attack had been to wash her hair every other day and use shampoo and conditioner and brush it out then. Keep in mind Sara is 2.5. Sounds fun, right? Not so much. Something that used to be super fun (bath time) had now become a sort of nightmare if you will. Lots of "no mommy, not bath" running away from the bath.

So I received some AVEENO® Baby® Essential Moisture Shampoo and figured, what the heck, right? It's not like bath time could end up being WORSE? Well, I am not going to tell you that it was a miracle and now bath time is easy. I will say that it did get a lot EASIER because the shampoo actually did help with the de-tangling and so therefore we were able to cut the torture time, er bath time down to about half since we did not need to use separate shampoo and conditioner.

And it really does make her hair nice and soft. So that is a plus. We are definitely of it around here and will continue to use it.

FROM THE COMPANY:
THE SCOOP: All children, no matter their hair type, can benefit from a little extra moisture, but adding an extra step to condition hair during bath time is a hassle. Whether your tot's hair is fine, thick and curly or somewhere in between, AVEENO® Baby® Essential Moisture Shampoo conditions as it cleanses, leaving hair touchably soft and easier to manage in one easy step. This tear-free formula contains natural wheat and oat essence combined with vitamin E to gently cleanse and condition hair, helping to prevent tangles and knots. Containing AVEENO® exclusive ACTIVE NATURALS®, AVEENO® Baby® Essential Moisture Shampoo is unique in that it's gentle enough for infants, yet it gives older children the extra boost of moisture their hair needs.

JOHNSON'S NO MORE TEARS 50th Anniversary Review

THE REVIEW:

We have always LOVED Johnson's baby products at our house. I actually remember when my sister was a baby, one of my big thrills was to help my mom give her a bath, and she would use Johnson's No More Tears Baby Shampoo. I remember how clean and baby-fresh it always made her. And I remember thinking that I would someday be using it on my daughter.

I remember the first bath that I gave Sara where I washed her hair and I was excited to use Johnson's No More Tears Baby Shampoo on her (I know that I am dork). I just felt like it was one of those rights of passage that I was now using it on my daughter. And I did not realize until I was a mom myself how important the "No More Tears" part is.

Sara loves the bath. In fact, I think she may be part fish. And while I am thrilled that she loves the bath, sometimes it makes it difficult to wash her hair without getting shampoo in her eyes. Actually it is far more common for me to get shampoo all over her head (face included) than not. And she does not mind.

One of my favorite products that Johnson's makes is the head to toe wash. I love that you can use the same product for the whole body. And now they have come out with a new Head to toe Foaming Wash in an easy, convenient pump-and-foam form. I was so excited to be able to review this. It is great because you can use one hand to pump and you don't have to smoosh it around in the other hand to get a good lather. You just pump and it is already foaming. It is perfect when you have a squirmy child.

Another new product that I LOVE is the baby bubble bath and wash. I love bubble baths. And I also love to take a bath with Sara. But I have been so sad that I could not find a bubble bath that I was comfortable to use with Sara. So I was very excited when I received a bottle of it to review. We love it. We use it when we take a bath together and when Sara takes one on her own.

Also be sure to check out Johnson's Baby Channel on YouTube for great baby tips.

Thanks to Mom Central and Johnson's for this great review opportunity

Spin Master- Bath Blizzard and Aquadoodle Draw 'N Doodle

We recently received both the Bath Blizzard and the Aquadoodle Draw 'N Doodle mat from Spin Master.

The Bath Blizzard is part of Spin Master's new line called Kid Kleen. It is a line of bath activities toys that are going to make bath time a party for any kid. All Kid Kleen products are safe, non-toxic, wheat-free, tear-free and hypoallergenic.

The Bath Blizzard is amazing! It is a little machine that you put on the side of your tub with suction cups and you turn the little knob and then it is bubble bath time! Seriously, you are going to want this in whatever bathroom you are using because you just might want to use it yourself (seriously, you are going to want to use it). And unlike other bubble baths where the bubbles eventually fade away, with this you can keep turning the knob and getting more bubbles! Endless bubble-baths!

The Aquadoodle Draw 'N Doodle mat is also super cool. Why, you ask? Because it is a mess-free doodle mat! Yep, that's right- mess-free. You just fill the re-usable Aqua Pen with water to create all sorts of fun pictures, and it disappears when it dries out. Sara had a good time just pressing the pen to the mat. And pressing the pen to the mat. And pressing the pen to the mat. I must say that with all the stuff that I have to clean up after her, having something that I did not have to scrub clean was REALLY nice.

Thanks to Team Mom for giving me the chance to try out these cool items!
