Crafts Made by Flory and Poetry by Flory

I have mentioned before that I am a member of a bunch of different social networking groups. One of the social networks that I belong to is Skwiggazine. There is a blog-ring that I am part of and each week, I will be posting about a different member.

This week I am posting about Flory. On this blog Flory posts about the different craft projects that she is working on...including quilting. I love quilts, well no that's not entirely true- I love the idea of making a quilt. Taking little pieces and putting it together to make something beautiful is just so amazing to me.
And that is why I am so excited to be writing about Flory today. Right now she is working on a quilt for her first great grandson! How exciting is that! Congrats Flory!

Be sure to check out her Craft Blog and her Poetry Blog.

Skwigga-zine- An Interactive Indie Zine for an Online Community

I have mentioned before that I am a member of a bunch of different social networking groups. One of the social networks that I belong to is Skwiggazine. There is a blog-ring that I am part of and each week, I will be posting about a different member.

This week I am posting about Missy from Skwiggazine. Yep, the creator of Skwiggazine. So first, I guess I should be giving her a heartfelt thanks for creating such a great community. So thanks Missy!

It really is a neat place that I strongly suggest you check out. It is a fun magazine style of social networking. I have found great articles about how to get the word out more about your art, and different places to sell. I have also met some really neat people through it.

Check out her blog as well.

Under the Loupe- Annette Piper Jewelry

One of the social networks that I belong to is Skwiggazine. There is a blog-ring that I am part of and each week, I will be posting about a different member.

I always love seeing who the next person in the blog ring is and I was so excited when I found out it was Annette Piper. When I first started making my tutus, I joined a LOT of different social networking places. And it turns out that Annette is also part of quite a few of them. It would always make me so happy (and let me know that it really is a great group if she is a part of it) to find her when I joined. Well, I guess she really found me. I would get a comment from her, with a lovely welcome each time.

Annette makes gorgeous jewelry. She also has an Etsy shop.

I am in love with this piece.

If I have a secret admirer or anything and you want to know what to get me, this is it. Seriously, this is one of my favorite pieces.

So if you want to see beautiful jewelry and get to read about a wonderful person, head on over to Annette's blog. I am sure you will enjoy!

Cherished Dreams- Quilts and Blog

One of the social networks that I belong to is Skwiggazine. There is a blog-ring that I am part of and each week, I will be posting about a different member.

I know, I know I just posted about the blog-ring. But I was looking back and realized that I completely missed a week and that means that I completely missed talking about a person. Karen- I am so sorry! So let me tell you a bit about Karen from Cherished Dreams. Karen makes quilts. Absolutely gorgeous quilts. Here is a quilt that she made for the Hoffman Challenge quilt project.

Karen, we wish you the best!

In addition to the quilts, she also has a blog post about redoing the main floor of her house with bamboo flooring. Amazingly enough I was just talking to Hubby about how we needed to fix up our house. I will have to look into bamboo flooring. Thanks Karen!

Tulips Talking- Blog and Shop

One of the social networks that I belong to is Skwiggazine. There is a blog-ring that I am part of and each week, I will be posting about a different member. This week is Lily at Tulips Talking.

And as I am scrolling down her website I just got a big smile on my face. In addition to the gorgeous jewelry that she has posted on it, she also has this

The RAK button. I have posted about RAK before and I am so glad to see that Lily has the button on her site. To me, having the RAK button just shouts goodness about a person.

And then I went farther down her site and found this

How gorgeous is that!

So head on over to Tulips Talking, and visit her shop as well. If you like beautiful, and good things, then you will like what you find.

Give me your best timesaver tips!

On of the social networks that I post on is Skwiggazine. Pretty cool place. There is a blog-ring that I am part of and each week, I will be posting about a different member.
This week is Stacy (cool name! LOL) from Paper, Rock, Scissors. Stacy is a SAHM mom and her blog is just fun. She is getting married really soon (like days from now). And reading about her preparation reminds me of getting ready for my wedding. Talk about a crazy time! But so fun! Looking back the one think that I wish I had done differently was to be more organized. And thinking about it now, that is actually something that I am still working on.
So in honor of Stacy and her wedding, I was hoping that you all could give me your best timesaver tips. And actually throw in your best organizational tips as well. And who knows...the best tip may win a prize.

Designing Hilary- 57 Design Studio

On of the social networks that I post on is Skwiggazine. Pretty cool place. There is a blog-ring that I am part of and each week, I will be posting about a different member.
This week is Hilary from Designing Hilary. She does amazing beadwork and I must say that the thing that I absolutely LOVE is her ID badge holders. In my full-time job I have an ID badge. And it is on a boring plain old chain. I would LOVE to have one of these wonderful ID badges to put my ID on instead.

Head on over to her Etsy shop, I promise it will be worth your time.
