Vusion Ointment- prescription diaper rash ointment

Photobucket

We have been really lucky. In the almost 16 months that Sara has been in diapers, we have not had any really bad rashes. She did have a yeast infection once that we had a hard time getting rid of. I remember my dad scouring the internet for information about it. He actually was the first person to tell me about Vusion® Ointment. We did not end up needing the ointment, but I remember being glad that it was available.

Vusion® Ointment is a prescription skin medication used to treat diaper rash that has been complicated by a certain kind of documented yeast infection. Vusion® Ointment contains the following ingredients: miconazole nitrate (antifungal agent), zinc oxide, white petrolatum. It is specifically developed for babies as young as 4 weeks, and it’s the only prescription product ever approved by the FDA for the treatment of diaper rash with a certain kind of documented yeast infection.

You can get a coupon for Vusion® Ointment here.

Thanks to Mom Central for letting me know about the ointment (well it was really my dad who first told me about it, but they reminded me that I should share it with you all)!

Just bought a tube of this stuff-without my insurance coverage it would've cost me 299.51!!!! Thankfully, it only cost $80.00-which to me is still a bit steep. Not the greatest choice for those without insurance, however. There have to be other options. I sure hope it works for this price!

I agree, it really works. But it is so very expensive!!! I would rather use something else then spent $290 for a small tube. Get real!

That is really over priced for Vaseline mixed with Desitin and plain ol monistat vaginal cream. You could skip the 300.00 pricetag and have you physican tell you how to use the Monistat straight on babys bum. My dr gave me Clotrimazole 1% otherwise known as Lotrmin cream for 6.99 and it worked on my newborn in 2 days.

My daughter has been plagued with ear infections since she was 2 weeks old. In turn she kept a yeast infection from all the antibiotics..we tried a prescription anti fungal/ steriod cream, butt paste, desitin, plain vaseline, monistat for women, bath soaks, and everything else you can think of! Finally our doctor gave her vusion and it worked like a dream! She is 2 now and we refuse to use anything else! It is very pricey..thankfully our insurance covered all but $22! I recommend this 100%...it may be expensive but are you willing to pay the price if all else fails? I know I am...no matter what the sacrifice!
