Review and Giveaway: Knot Genie

THE REVIEW: Recently I was reading about products that are great for kids and I found out about the Knot Genie.  I have posted before how brushing Sara's hair is always a problem.  She has the same curly hair I do and when I was her age my mom kept my hair really short and now I know why.  Bath-time and hair brushing time have been a total nightmare for quite some time now- Sara just hates anything to do with her hair because it is always knotted.

I checked out the prices and honestly was really not sure- the idea of spending $19.99 on a brush for Sara made me cringe.  But then I went to their facebook page and the reviews were just fantastic.  Like people were blown away by how amazing it was and I figured it was worth a try.

Brushing Sara's hair while she happily sits there
And it is absolutely that fantastic and more.  Honestly (and I know this sounds a little extreme but it is true) but it really was life-changing.  Sara likes to have me brush her hair.  She will get out of the tub and bring me the brush and the spray detangler and sit there while I brush her hair.  We don't fight about it and it is actually a pleasant experience.  We actually keep a spare one (yes I bought another expensive brush for Sara) because I can't imagine what would happen if we lost it.

I sent an email to Knot Genie letting them know how fantastic their product is and they sent me a Knot Genie to give away to one of my readers.  I am so excited about it!

FROM THE COMPANY: The magic trick behind the Knot Genie™ is one we are happy to reveal. It all has to do with the different lengths of teeth on the brush. When brushing, they bend just right, to gently untangle the hair. And because of this lack of stress, the hair's cuticle stays unharmed... revealing the smoothest, shiniest hair you've ever seen.

Handles like a dream. The fact that The Knot Genie isn't like traditional hair brushes goes way beyond the bristle side. Its unique cloud-shaped top fits the palm nicely, whether you're right or left handed. Which means it feels more like an extension of your hand than a grooming tool. And also means the brushing process is far more comfortable, gentle, and most importantly, done quickly. Voila!

I received items for giveaway from Knot Genie.  All opinions and thoughts (unless otherwise stated) are my own. I will only post reviews for items that I believe are worthy products. I am excited to try this. My daughter has sensory processing disorder and I hate the fact that it hurts her when I brush her hair.

The fact that there will be no more split ends and hair breakage is a huge thing for me. My poor girls hair looks so frizzy from breaking.

If Madison's hair is going to be anything like mine, I need to invest in this product. I don't want her hating having her hair brushed. No split ends, hair pulling and tantrums sounds like a great product.

I think the way it fits in the palm of your hand would give you more control over those tangles. My GD hates having her hair brushed if she thinks it's going to hurt. Looks like this might be the answer!

I love that it fits in the palm of your hand the way it does.

my favorite thing, is that it glides right through your hair, and doesnt rip it out.

I'm a mom of a curly haired daughter and learned from their site that hair that needs to be "washed" every day (like curly hair that can only be brushed wet), use shampoo only every few days and "wash" with conditioner the others.
