Exergen TemporalScanner Review and Giveaway

THE REVIEW:

The past couple weeks have just been really difficult. In addition to my mom being sick (you can see updates here), I had bronchitis about 2 weeks ago and Sara Rose had an ear infection. And her ear infection turned into 2 ear infections. So the first Friday that my mom was in the hospital, I was taking Sara back to the doctor to get a new antibiotic since the first one did not work. And the doctor said that as long as she did not get a fever, she was pretty sure this antibiotic would work (it has in the past). So of course on Friday evening, lo and behold, I think she feels warm and she does not want me to take her temperature. I am starting to be really concerned- the last thing that I want it to have to take her to the hospital because the doctor was already closed. And then hubby walks in the door and tells me I have a package. And I kid you not- it was the Exergen TemporalScanner. So of course I rip it open, scan the directions and put it on Sara's forehead. She thinks it is funny. And she lets me take her temperature. It was 99.6. So not really a fever. She let me take her temperature all weekend and she did not have a fever.

I have to say that I love this product. It is really easy to use. I mean I was able to figure it out really quickly when I really needed to. And Sara thinks it is fun, so as far as I am concerned that is just icing on the cake. I also found it to be really accurate. So overall, I just think it is wonderful and a product that every household should have.

What is the Exergen TemporalScanner™?
The Exergen TemporalScanner™is the world’s first infrared thermometer designed to measure body temperature by taking a reading from the temporal artery. The patented technology employs an infrared sensor that accurately registers body temperature to within +0.2ยบ F—a much more accurate means of taking the temperature than any other way including oral, rectal, axillary (under the arm) and tympanic (in the ear). It is also the least invasive method, depending upon a gentle sweep over a patient’s forehead.
What does the TemporalScanner™ measure?
The TemporalScanner captures naturally emitted heat from the skin over the temporal artery, taking 1,000 readings per second, and selecting the most accurate. With its patented Arterial Heat Balance system, the TemporalScanner measures ambient temperatures, mathematically replaces the small temperature loss from cooling at the skin, and displays an accurate arterial temperature.

Do you want to try it yourself? One lucky winner will receive one Exergen TemporalScanner.
